ArtPrize is a radically open, international art competition decided by public vote and professional jury that takes place in Grand Rapids from Sept 21 – Oct. 9., and you can become part of the competition.
For 19 days in the early fall, around 400,000 attendees descend upon three square miles of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan where anyone can find a voice in the conversation about what is art and why it matters. Art from around the world pops up in every inch of downtown in over 160 venues—museums, galleries, bars, restaurants, theaters, hotels, public parks, lobbies, buildings, walls, bridges, laundromats, and auto body shops—and it’s all free and open to the public.
Join me as I paint live, in-person at the show on Friday Saturday and Sunday Sept 21 – 23, from 10 a.m. -5 p.m., and you could be part of the show! I’ll be asking people to paint with me, helping me create artwork for ArtPrize. If you like the artwork I’m displaying (or what we create during the show), you can vote for me.
Prints of my ArtPrize Artwork are available on Fine art America and at my Fine Art America.
I look forward to seeing you in Grand Rapids!
